The short answer
Current desk phones
These are the phones we recommend first for a new office or a new user.
Poly Edge E220
HP 82M87AA / Poly 2200-86990-025
Buy this for most desks.
Best for: A regular office desk with an ethernet cable.
Current Poly model, color screen, Bluetooth, and gigabit ethernet passthrough.
Poly Edge E350
HP 82M89AA / Poly 2200-87010-025
Buy this when the desk does not have ethernet.
Best for: Home offices, older buildings, or desks where running cable is not practical.
Current Poly model with built-in Wi-Fi. We still recommend ethernet when you have it.
Older phones that still work
These are not the first phones we recommend for a new office, but they are fine if you want to save money or replace a phone you already have.
Poly VVX 250
Older Poly VVX model
Still fine when you want a lower-cost wired phone.
Best for: Simple desks, back offices, replacement phones, or existing VVX installs.
Reliable and supported, but older than the Edge phones.
Poly VVX 350
Older Poly VVX model
Useful when you need more line keys than a VVX 250.
Best for: Reception, shared desks, or users who watch several lines.
Still usable, but not our first choice for a new office.
Poly Rove cordless phones
Use a cordless phone when the person is not sitting at one desk. We recommend buying cordless setups through Vocatech so the base and handset ship already configured.
Poly Rove B2 with Rove 20 handset
B2 base: HP 84H80AA#ABA / Rove 20 handset: HP 8F3E4AA#ABA
Buy this when someone needs to walk around with the phone.
Best for: Warehouses, medical offices, retail floors, or anyone away from the desk.
Cordless setups are easier when bought through Vocatech because the base and handset ship configured together.
Before buying any other phones
We support all Poly and some tested Yealink models. Do not buy a random Yealink model without checking with us first. Yealink has many models, and even Yealink does not support every model the same way.
