The short answer
Recommended setup
Two pieces. The AudioCodes gateway connects to your network and gives you analog ports. The Viking amplifier plugs into one of those ports. Dial the paging extension from any phone or Webex, talk, and it comes out of the speaker. Buy the gateway through Vocatech and it ships ready to go.
AudioCodes MP-112 FXS Gateway
MP112/2S/SIP — 2 FXS ports
Connects analog paging equipment to your Vocatech phone system.
Best for: Any setup that needs one or two paging zones, speakers, or analog devices on the phone system.
Two FXS ports so you can connect two devices. Buy through Vocatech and it ships configured. Plug it into your network and it works. Need four ports? Ask about the MP-114.
Viking PA-15 Paging Amplifier
Viking PA-15 — 15 Watt
Amplifier, loud ringer, and relay controller in one box.
Best for: Warehouses, retail floors, medical offices, lobbies, or any space that needs overhead paging from the phone system.
Plugs into the AudioCodes gateway. Built-in 15W amplifier drives a standard paging horn or speaker directly. Also has relay contacts for door strikes, gates, or other equipment you want to trigger from a phone call.
Adding speakers
The Viking PA-15 has a built-in 15-watt amplifier. For a single room or hallway, the built-in speaker may be enough on its own. For a larger space, warehouse, or outdoor area, connect a standard 8-ohm paging horn to the speaker output. One horn covers most single-zone setups. For multiple speakers on one zone, wire them in parallel and make sure the total impedance stays within the amplifier rating. Your installer or low-voltage technician handles the speaker wiring.
Connecting to an existing paging system
If the building already has a paging system with amplifiers and speakers in place, the AudioCodes gateway can connect to it the same way. Your installer runs the ATA output into the existing amplifier input. The phone system sees it as an extension. Dial the extension, page the building.
Bring your own device
If your installer has a preferred paging device or multi-zone controller, we can provide SIP registration through a third-party service. That service has documentation for popular devices from major manufacturers. Your installer configures the device using their documentation. The phone system assigns it an extension just like any other device.
This also works for more advanced setups. The Viking PA-15 has relay contacts that can trigger door strikes, gates, or other equipment from a phone call. Multi-zone controllers, multi-cell paging systems, and access control integrations are all possible through this same combination. Contact us to talk through your setup.
What we configure and what we do not
We configure the AudioCodes gateway and the phone system routing. Speaker wiring, amplifier placement, and any third-party device configuration are handled by your installer or low-voltage technician. The AudioCodes gateway plus Viking PA-15 is the combination we support end to end.
