Locations · Suffern, NY
Phone service for Suffern and the Ramapo Pass.
Suffern is where the Town of Ramapo keeps its Town Hall, and where the Thruway, I-287 and the railroad come through the Ramapo Pass. Lafayette Avenue is its main street, Good Samaritan Hospital stands on it, and more than 1,000 physicians on the state’s Medicaid list give a Suffern address. We serve Suffern from Brooklyn, about an hour away by the tunnels and Route 17.
Our office is at 5314 18th Avenue in Brooklyn, about 42 miles by Route 17 through Mahwah or by the Palisades.

Questions Suffern offices ask before they call.
“Is your office in Rockland?”
No. Our one office is in Borough Park, Brooklyn, about an hour from Suffern by Route 17 or the Palisades. Nothing in the switch needs a visit, and the people who build your system are the ones who answer the phone.
“What does it cost for an office of twelve?”
$29.95 per seat a month with every feature in every seat, so twelve seats are $359.40. Federal telecom fees are included and New York sales tax is the only line added. Phones are optional and bought once.
“Our practice is near Good Samaritan. Is it HIPAA ready?”
Yes, once you accept the Business Associate Agreement in the portal, at no charge. Calls, recordings and faxing from the portal are covered. Texting and WhatsApp are not, so appointment texts carry no clinical detail.
“Can we keep our 845 numbers?”
Yes. They port in at no charge, landline or cell. Suffern’s exchange received its first 329 block in December 2025, so a new line may carry the 329 overlay, dialed with ten digits like every local call here.
“Can staff who commute answer from home?”
Yes. The Webex app on a laptop or a cell is the same extension as the desk phone, under the office number, and Office Anywhere can ring a cell with every call. Calls move between devices without dropping.
“Can the phones close early on Friday and for holidays?”
Yes. The portal keeps one schedule with your hours, the Friday early close and the holidays, and the menus and groups answer by it. Ask us before a holiday season and we record the greetings and put them on.
“Who is on the other end when we call?”
A person on our team at 718.395.1550, by call, text or WhatsApp, or by email at office@vocatech.com, Monday to Thursday 9 to 5 and Friday 9 to 12. After hours our AI Agent takes the message, and weekends are for emergencies.
“Do we sign a contract?”
No. Service runs month to month with no early-termination fee, and the numbers go with you if you leave. There is no trial, so a person shows you the system on your own calls before you decide.
Near Suffern. Monsey and Spring Valley are down Route 59, and Monroe is up Route 17, all on the same service.
