Phone service for Pomona and the Mount Ivy area.
Pomona is a village of about 4,000 people split between the Towns of Haverstraw and Ramapo, but its 10970 ZIP reaches well past the village line, into Mount Ivy and the county offices on Sanatorium Road. That ZIP held about 345 businesses with employees in the Census Bureau’s 2023 count, health care the largest group among them. We serve Pomona from Brooklyn, about an hour and a quarter away.
Our office is at 5314 18th Avenue in Brooklyn, about 50 miles, the last stretch up the Palisades Parkway to exit 13.

Much of Pomona’s business sits just outside the village line, on the same 10970 ZIP.

On Optimum or Verizon
Poly phones arrive configured and plug into the Optimum or Verizon line you have, and the Webex app works on every cell that day.
Questions Pomona offices ask before they switch.
“Do you have an office in Pomona?”
No. Our one office is in Borough Park, Brooklyn, about 50 miles away. The phones arrive set up, the numbers port from here, and a person walks your staff through the system on a Webex meeting, so nothing waits on a visit.
“What would a practice of five pay?”
$29.95 per seat a month with every feature in every seat, so five seats are $149.75. Federal telecom fees are included, and New York sales tax at the Rockland County rate is the only line added. Phones are optional and bought once.
“Our number starts with 845-354. Can we keep it?”
Yes. 354, 362 and 364 are the exchanges of Pomona’s own phone office, and their numbers port in at no charge. New exchanges in the 845 area now come from the 329 overlay, so a new line may start with 329.
“Our mail says Pomona but we are in Mount Ivy. Does it matter?”
No. The 10970 ZIP takes in the village, Mount Ivy and unincorporated parts of Ramapo and Haverstraw. Service, price and numbers do not change from one to the next, and the tax is Rockland County’s in every one.
“Will the phones work on our internet?”
Yes. By the FCC’s data, Optimum’s cable and fiber and Verizon’s fiber reach Pomona and Mount Ivy, and the phones run on any of them. We do not sell internet or routers, so your IT company keeps the network, and we work with them if a phone will not register.
“Can we close the phones early on Friday and for holidays?”
Yes. Put the hours, the Friday early close and the holidays into one schedule in the portal, and every menu and group keeps to it. Ahead of each season we can record the holiday greetings and put them on, and your regular greeting comes back after.
“When we call you, who answers?”
A person on our team, Monday to Thursday 9 to 5 and Friday 9 to 12, at 718.395.1550 by call, text or WhatsApp, or at office@vocatech.com. Weekends are for emergencies, and after hours our AI Agent takes the message.
“Do we have to sign for a year?”
No. Service is month to month, there is no early-termination fee, and your numbers go with you if you leave. There is no trial. Instead a person shows you the system on your own calls and sets it up the way you want.
