Portal, billing and account

Leaving, downsizing, or closing a location

Dropping seats, taking your numbers with you, and closing an account.

The short answer

No contract: Month to month, no exit fee, no notice period beyond the current month.
Fewer seats: Delete the extensions or tell us. They drop off the next invoice.
Your numbers: Leave with you. The new provider files the port and we release them.
Closing: Done with a person, by phone or email. There is no cancel button, on purpose.

Dropping seats

Closing a location or shrinking a team is a matter of deleting the extensions you no longer need, in the portal or by asking us. Whatever is active on the 1st is billed for that month, so a seat deleted on the 10th appears on that month's invoice and not the next. Deleting an extension takes its Webex account and its phone with it; see removing, renaming, or moving an extension. Numbers that belonged to the closed location can be dropped, kept on the account, or pointed elsewhere.

Keeping your numbers when you leave

Your numbers are yours. When you move to another provider, that provider files the port-out request, and we release the numbers in good faith. There is no port-out charge and no obstruction. Keep the account open until the port completes, for the same reason you keep the old carrier open when you join: a number released before it moves may not come back. See porting your numbers.

Closing the account

Call or email us. A person closes the account, stops the monthly invoice, and settles any final credit; there is no self-service cancellation and no cancellation fee. The current billing period stays active to its end. Phones you bought are yours, and a factory reset by the new provider makes them ready for their system; nothing on our side has to be done first. See billing cycle, reminders, and terms.

Pausing instead

A seasonal business or a location between leases can keep the numbers on the account at the extra-number rate while the seats come off, so nothing has to be ported twice. Ask billing and we set it up.
